This is advance notice of Grand Council’s Sesquicentenary Celebration on the 3rd October, which will be a once in a lifetime event. All those attending the meeting will be able to see the Grand Council appointees formally invested, hear a short exposition on the History of the Order in the UK, be in the company of Companions from around the globe as well as taking away a commemorative ‘goody-bag’ that will include a specially designed lapel pin.
The timings are :-
12:30 PM Meeting Starts
2:00 PM Meeting Ends
3:00 PM Dining Starts
5:00 PM Dining Ends
The early start and finish means that it will be possible for anyone attending to return the same day, so an overnight stay isn’t essential.
As soon as we get any more information we will let you know, but in the meantime remember to save the date.

On a warm August day at Castle Grove Masonic Hall the District of West Yorkshire held their Annual meeting, the first in person for the District Grand Master R.Ill. Comp Fraser McPherson since being appointed during the pandemic.
District Grand Council was opened in due form with support from 11 other District Grand Masters along with their Deputies, PCW’s, Recorders and other companions. The business of the day taken care of a meal of

Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding
Profiteroles
Wine was served and the meal was up to its usual high standard.
The District Grand Master thanked everyone for their support and asked everyone to keep supporting their own Craft, Chapter and Mark Lodges as that is where we get our candidates from, and that is where our future lies.
Within this District there was current and past Rulers of a number of orders including Craft, Royal Arch, Mark and Allied to name a few showing the importance of working together in Freemasonry.
The Festive Board was then closed and everyone left feeling happy in their Cryptic Masonry.
It’s so good to be back.

On Friday 11th March at the meeting of the Yorkshire Council of Installed Masters part of the business was “To confirm in Office R.Ill.Comp. Fraser McPherson as District Grand Master for West Yorkshire.” Fraser was appointed by Patent in August 2020 but this was first opportunity to officially confirm him and invest him with chain of office.
The Grand Master along with the Grand Director of Ceremonies was in attendance.

With 2021 now behind us, here’s looking forward to a healthier, happier and more fraternal 2022 that will allow us more opportunity to enjoy our Cryptic Masonry and Freemasonry generally.
Let us also hope that 2022 will enable us to consolidate our Order in West Yorkshire, allowing us once again to turn our attention to bringing the beautiful and hidden mysteries of Cryptic Masonry to many more worthy and deserving Masons.
