A real pleasure to attend the District Annual Meeting of Lancashire at Brookfield Hall, Westhoughton.
The meeting was well supported and conducted in a calm and dignified manner., and the reports showed steady work taking place across Lancashire.
West Yorkshire was proud to be represented by Ill Comp Ian Cotton, Deputy District Grand Master; Ill Comp Algis Vasis, District Grand Principal Conductor of the Work; Ill Comp Jason Cunningham, District Grand Recorder; Ill Comp Marios Adamou, District Grand Conductor of the Council; Ill Comp Warren Marsden, District Assistant Grand Recorder; and Ill Comp Richard Middleton, Past District Grand Conductor of the Work. It is important that we support one another at these key meetings, and it was good to stand alongside our Companions from across the region.
Lancashire was also honoured by the presence of the Grand Principal Conductor of the Work, R.Ill Comp Norman Milburn His attendance added further weight to the occasion and underlined the importance of the District within the wider Order.
Beyond the formal proceedings, the meeting gave time for conversation and fellowship. The food was fantastic and the company even better. These occasions strengthen friendships, build trust and reinforce the shared purpose that guides our Councils.
Our thanks go to Lancashire for their warm welcome, excellent organisation and generous hospitality. It was a fitting and well run Annual Meeting.
