Our Deputy District Grand Master in Charge, V.Ill. Companion Ronald J Murtagh sends you his best wishes and hopes that you are keeping safe and well.
Further to yesterday’s information from the Grand Secretary I am now, with much regret, able to write to you to confirm that in the light of the present circumstances the annual meeting of the District Grand Council of West Yorkshire scheduled for the 1st August 2020 is postponed.
As you are aware this was also to be the occasion of the Installation of the new District Grand Master for West Yorkshire, Ill. Companion Fraser McPherson P.A.G.D.C., which will obviously not now go ahead. He will however assume the office of District Grand Master on that date by virtue of the Patent issued to him by the M.Ill. Grand Master. Under that Patent he will also be empowered on that date to appoint his Deputy, the District G.P.C.W., as well as the officers of District Grand Council.
Later in the year we intend to hold a very truncated District Meeting and when this is organized further information will be circulated.
I am sure you, like us, look forward to the return of Cryptic Masonry in whatever form that may take. The District Grand Master Designate and his Executive look forward to that resumption; again to meet with you all at the various meetings around the District.
